TUTORING
PRIMARY, SECONDARY & SEND
At MASA, we offer fun and engaging activities tailored to your child’s specific needs, based on their key stage and year group. We work closely with each child to identify resources and topics that keep them motivated and invested in their learning. Regular skills checks and mini-assessments are included in sessions to ensure consistent progress. For subjects requiring additional resources, there may be higher charges. Homework tasks can be set, with the agreement of parents or carers, and we strive to link our work to your child’s school lessons and topics, adding deeper meaning to their learning experience.
ONLINE TUTORING
At the core of our academy is our online tutoring model, where we use the latest in educational websites, google suite technologies and numerous available apps to offer a wide range of quality lessons to our children. Regardless of their understanding of technology, we’ll ensure that all children are fully prepared to make the most of their lessons.
IN-PERSON TUTORING
In addition to our online offer, we provide the opportunity to have face-to-face (IP) sessions with our experienced tutors, either individually or in small groups of up to six children at a time. Whatever the subject matter, we’ll provide your child with all of the resources they’ll need to be able to complete our well-planned, engaging lessons.
TUTORING CURRICULUM
Reading
Online - £30ph /IP - £35ph
Is your child a reluctant reader? Are they having trouble with phonics, or answering comprehension questions? Through the use of fabulous resources, we support your child with reading across the different strands of the curriculum.
Writing
Online - £30ph /IP - £35ph
Whether you’re child is the next Shakespeare or someone who just wants to get better, we seek to make writing enjoyable using a range of stimuli. Whether it is creative writing, or something based on a non-fiction text, our aim is to help them achieve success in the writing curriculum.
Mathematics
Online - £30ph /IP - £35ph
What’s 4 x 6? How do you work out the area of a rectangle? What does BIDMAS mean? If that sounds like gobbledygook (or algebra for that matter), we support your child with a range of quality resources to enable them to access all areas of the maths curriculum.
Other Subjects
Online - £40ph /IP - £45ph
There is so much more to life than W/R/M, so we like to offer a bespoke curriculum looking at the traditional ‘foundation subjects’. Whether its exploring a science investigation, or studying an ancient civilisation, or even learning different drawing techniques, we can support your child as we look at how the world works in more detail.
